This Cookie Policy explains how Calder Solutions ("we," "us") uses cookies and similar technologies (local storage, pixels) on this website, and how you can control them. It supplements our Privacy Policy.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They let the site remember your actions and preferences, and help us understand how the site is used.

Cookies we use

Strictly necessary

  • calder-cookie-consent (browser local storage) — remembers your Accept/Decline choice on the cookie banner. Kept until you change it via Cookie settings or clear your browser data.

  • calder-region (cookie) — your country code, plus your state for US visitors (for example US-MI), used to apply the consent rules of your jurisdiction. It identifies a region, not you. Expires after 24 hours.

  • calder_gate (cookie) — a signed token that unlocks the site while it is password-protected before launch. Expires after 30 days; only set while pre-launch protection is on.

  • Cloudflare Turnstile — the spam-protection widget on our contact form may set its own cookies to distinguish people from bots.

These are required for the site to function and cannot be switched off.

Analytics and session recording

  • Google Tag Manager / Google Analytics — traffic measurement and page-view statistics. Cookies such as _ga and _ga_* persist for up to 13 months.

  • PostHog — product analytics (pages visited, time on page, how you arrived) and session recording: replays of clicks, scrolling, and mouse movement that help us find usability problems. Text typed into forms is masked and is not recorded, and recordings are automatically deleted after a limited retention period. Uses first-party cookies and local storage keys prefixed ph_, persisting for up to 12 months, served through our own domain.

Advertising and visitor identification

  • LinkedIn Insight Tag — measures our LinkedIn campaigns and enables retargeting on LinkedIn. Sets first- and third-party cookies (for example li_fat_id and cookies on linkedin.com domains) persisting from 30 days up to 12 months.

  • HubSpot — marketing analytics and contact management. Cookies such as __hstc and hubspotutk persist for up to 6 months.

  • reb2b — identifies the companies, and in some cases the business contacts, visiting our site by matching device and network data against business databases.

How these tools load depends on where you are. In opt-in regions (EU/EEA and UK, among others) they stay off until you accept. In opt-out regions they run by default, and declining the banner — or sending the Global Privacy Control signal — turns them off and stops them loading on later page views. We implement Google Consent Mode v2: your choice sets its analytics_storage, ad_storage, ad_user_data, and ad_personalization signals.

Regional differences

The consent banner follows the law of the place you are visiting from, detected by country — and by state for US visitors. In jurisdictions that require opt-in consent, you see a choice before any non-essential cookies load. In jurisdictions with opt-out rules, the tools above run by default and the banner offers a decline. In jurisdictions with no cookie-consent requirement, the tools run and no banner appears — so what you see can differ by location. Wherever you are, this page always shows the banner so you can make or change a choice.

Global Privacy Control

We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. When your browser sends it, the analytics, recording, and marketing tools above stay off by default on this site — the same as declining the banner — regardless of your region. Choosing Accept on the banner is an explicit consent that applies to this site notwithstanding the signal. See the Privacy Policy for details.

How to manage cookies

  • Use the Accept/Decline controls on the consent banner when it appears.

  • Change or withdraw your choice at any time by returning to this Cookie Policy page: opening it clears your previous selection and shows the banner again so you can choose fresh.

  • Configure your browser to block or delete cookies — site functionality may be affected.

  • Opt out of Google Analytics across sites via the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
